7,802 candidates write University of Ibadan Post UTME for 2023/2024 session 

The University of Ibadan has begun its Post-UTME examinations for students seeking admission into its seventeen faculties for undergraduate programmes for the 2023/2024 academic session.

The Computer Based Examinations, which began today, Monday, 27 November, 2023, at the University’s Distance Learning Centre, is scheduled to last two days.

The examinations are for students in both the Humanities and the Sciences. There were three shifts of examinations today, while four shifts will be held tomorrow. 7,802 admission seekers are expected to participate in the exercise even though the admission quota of the University stands at about 4000. Parents and guardians who came along with their children/wards were seen waiting patiently around the premises under canopies and trees as the candidates conducted themselves appropriately. It was a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere as the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kayode O. Adebowale, mni, FAS; Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Peter O. Olapegba; Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Aderonke Baiyeroju; Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research Innovation and Strategic Partnerships, Prof. Oluyemisi Bamgbose, SAN; former Chairman, Senate Committee on Admissions, Prof. O. Fagbola; Chairman, Senate Committee on Admissions, Prof. O. A. Boboye; Director, Distance Learning Centre, Prof. E. B. Omobowale, the Deputy Registrar of the DLC, Dr. Morounfoluwa Oyebola; the Admissions Officer, Dr Adeyinka Olatunji, and other officials were on hand to monitor the examinations.
