UNILORIN COMMENCES 2022/2023 SESSION, BEGINS CLEARANCE FOR FRESH STUDENTS 

The University of Ilorin, UNILORIN, has resumed and commenced activities for 2022/2023 session today, Monday, December 4th, 2023. Team Plato reports.

Recall that the university’s senate, at its 298th meeting, approved December 4th as the resumption date for both new and returning students and approved a new calendar for the session, which was released days after the meeting.

A copy of the calendar made available to us has it that the registration and clearance will begin immediately for students on the resumption day while lectures for the session will begin December 11th and the matriculation of new students for the session holds January 29th, 2024.

As slated, the physical clearance for new students commenced across various departments today. Our correspondents confirmed that the Department of Health Education, Chemistry & Sociology, are among few others that commenced the clearance today, while students from some departments were given the requirements and a later date for the commencement of the process.

In addendum, the COMSIT’s Director, Prof. Jimoh, earlier today, issued a notice to the University community on the newly developed portal. He confirmed that the portal has been activated for new students, and the activation process is in progress for returning students to have access.
