EKITI STATE UNIVERSITY COMMENCES PHARMACY PROGRAMME FOR 2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION 

Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti is set to commence Pharmacy programme as from the 2024/2025 academic session. This was disclosed by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Edward Olanipekun while presiding over the matriculation ceremony for the institution’s regular students for the 2023/2024 academic session.While describing EKSU as one of the best sought after universities in Nigeria, the Vice Chancellor assured that the pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy would soon be appointed to kick start the commencement of the programme. He also charged the Dean, Faculty of Engineering to facilitate the process of commencing Mechatronics Engineering in the university. Professor Olanipekun advised the new students to be studious and avoid associating themselves with any unregistered association on campus. He further warned the old students to desist from harassing, intimidating, or molesting the new students under any guise as any student found engaging in such anti-social behaviour would be made to face appropriate disciplinary action. He also encouraged the new students to report any form of harassment or intimidation to the appropriate organ of the university for necessary action.

The Vice Chancellor thereafter directed the Directorate of Works & Services to ensure the provision of solar power to strategic locations in order to illuminate the nooks and crannies of the campus.

The Registrar of the university, Mr. Ife Oluwole administered the matriculation oath on the 6,738 new students.
