NYSC WITHDRAWS CORP MEMBERS FROM ILORIN SCHOOL 

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has withdrawn all corps members serving at Government Day Secondary School, Kulende, in Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara State. This action follows allegations of assault on a female corps member by some teachers at the school.

Reports indicate that about 10 corps members, serving in both the junior and senior sections of the school, were withdrawn on Monday by the NYSC state directorate. The move was prompted by claims that the female corps member was attacked after being accused of failing to greet some teachers.

During his visit to the school on Monday, the Director-General of NYSC, Brigadier General Y. D. Ahmed, addressed the issue and ordered the temporary withdrawal of all corps members. He later proceeded to Yikpata in Edu Local Government Area to inspect the 2024 Batch C, Stream 2, orientation course.
