Authorities of the Kwara state Polytechnic have denied closing down the institution as a result of Coronavirus pandemic.
The spokesperson Agboola Jimoh said “attention of the polytechnic authorities have been drawn to speculations making the round that the ongoing examination has been suspended with effect from Monday, the 23rd of March, 2020. This is not so
We have no plans to suspend the ongoing examination as it has already reached 75 percent rate of completion. The majority of our students who completed the first phase of the examination are already on holiday.
“Students writing examination are encouraged to avoid or minimise the possibility of being in a crowd and follow tips being offered by health practitioners.
The polytechnic authorities appreciate the tireless efforts and understanding of our students, Invigilators and supervisors. By His grace, none of us will contract COVID-19 or any deadly virus.”
