In another demonstration of the Better-by-far stuff they are made of, members of the Unilorin Quiz and Debate Club have again done the University proud by emerging Champions in another international tournament held last weekend.
The Unilorites picked up the trophy in the English-as-Second-Language category of the Western IV International Online Competition in which students from 27 countries and 69 universities across the globe participated.
The University was represented by the formidable duo of Alex Olafisoye and Owolabi Victor of the Faculties of Education and Law, respectively. Also, two University of Ilorin students, Davida Paul and Ogundare Taye Tobi were on the Core Adjudication Panel as Chief Adjudicator and Deputy Chief Adjudicator, respectively. In his reaction to this new feat, the University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, said, “This great feat is a testimony to the extraordinary support by the University authority for Unilorin Quiz and Debate Committee to excel across all Debating Competitions in which the students participate”.
