The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, on Monday declared a two-week warning strike against non-payment of salaries of lecturers not enrolled in the Federal Government’s Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System.
The University of Ilorin students have express shock and also reacted to the strike embarked by ASUU today, Monday 9th of March 2020.
Information reaching us now from a reliable source has it that the ASUU strike would not affect the ongoing first semester examination of the fresh students (100-200L).
Furthermore, it was confirmed to us that in anyway, the University would complete her examination before considering of embarking or not.
Another source also claimed that the University may join the ongoing nationwide strike since the University is now part of the body.
