Public and private schools in Osun state have resumed academic activities today, after six months of closure by the federal and state governments over COVID-19.
A check on some of the schools in Osogbo, the state capital early Monday morning showed enthusiastic students resuming back to school.
There were also, visible substantial compliance with the COVID-19 protocols in most of the schools.
It could be recalled that public and private schools were preparing to write the second term exam before academic activities were suspended and schools closed in Osun state.
It is six months since the students have been at home.
With joy, they have eventually returned to continue their academic journey.
Noticeable in most of the schools is the compliance with COVID-19 protocols, as students washed their hands and maintained social distances.
For some of the students and school owners, they wish never to experience the pandemic in their lifetime again, as they recount their ordeals during the lockdown.
The hope and prayers of many is that the number of COVID-19 cases across the country will continue to decline, despite the opening of schools.
