University of Port Harcourt has postponed the resumption of activities by one week
Sequel to the postponement of the Governorship and houses of Assembly elections in the Country to Saturday, March 18, 2023 the Committee of Provost and Deans met today, March 10, 2023 to consider the implication of the postponement on the scheduled reopening of the University. After an exhaustive review of the circumstances, the Committee of Provost and Deans unanimously agreed to shift the resumption of the University of Port Harcourt to Wednesday March 22, 2023 to enable staff and students participate fully in the Governorship and Houses of Assembly elections now scheduled for Saturday March 18, 2023. The President of the Students Union of the University MR Dickson Senibo was also present in the meeting. We thank the entire staff, students and stakeholders for their understanding.
