Federal College of Agriculture, Akure 2020/2021 ADMISSION INTO THE FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME PROGRAMMES 

The College is currently offering admission into the following full-time and part-time, short-time certificate and advanced diploma courses.
(A) REMEDIAL COURSE – 1 Year Programme
This programme is designed to prepare candidates for the ND Programme. Candidates for the programme must hold the WASC or GCE O/Level or SSCE/NECO/NABTEB with a minimum of five(5) Passes obtained at not more than two sittings in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science or Biology and one other relevant subject.
(B) NATIONAL DIPLOMA COURSES (ND

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
(A) NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND)
WASC or GCE O’Level or SSCE/NECO/NABTEB with a minimum of five (5) credit passes obtained at not more than two sittings. The five subjects must include Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science plus three other subjects from Economics, English Language, Geography, Mathematics, Physics or Statistics. Candidates must, in addition, obtain credit passes in English Language and Mathematics or Statistics.
Five credit passes in NBTE recognized Preliminary National Diploma (Pre-ND) course offered in a Polytechnic or similar Post-Secondary Institution. The five credit passes must be from the subjects specified in (A) above. Admission into full-time ND Programmes is through UTME.
(B) HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND)
Candidates must have a minimum of lower credit in cognate National Diploma (ND) plus five O’level credits in relevant subjects obtained at WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB. Candidates must also have one year Post ND industrial experience.
NCE holders (Agric Double major) are also eligible for HND Programmes
DURATION:
The aforementioned Part-time ND and HND courses will run for 6 semesters (3 years) while Full-time ND and HND Programmes will run for 2 years.

   JSS Certificate/SSS Certificate. Holders of the Primary Six Certificate may also be considered.
6. Certificate in any Agricultural Science Course
   DURATION: 2 Years (4 Semesters)
   (F) ADVANCED DIPLOMA COURSES
   i. Advanced Diploma Course in Crop Production and Horticulture
   ii. Advanced Diploma Course in Statistics
   ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
   Advanced Certificate in any Agricultural Science Course. Holders of JSS Certificate/SSS Certificate, Primary Six Certificate may also be considered.
   These courses are specifically designed for staff from the Produce and Quality control Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Extension Officers, Women in Agriculture, ADPs, and Degree holders not in Agriculture.
   DURATION: 3 Years (6 Semesters)
