The Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) is a well-known institution of higher learning in Nigeria, providing quality education to students since its establishment.

One of the most significant events in the academic calendar of the IAUE is the Matriculation Ceremony for fresh students admitted in the 2022/2023 academic session.
The Matriculation Ceremony is an important event that marks the official admission of new students into the university.
The ceremony usually features a procession of students in academic gowns, speeches by university officials, and the signing of the Matriculation Register by all newly admitted students.
The Matriculation Ceremony for the 2022/2023 academic session was initially scheduled to hold on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the IAUE has rescheduled the ceremony for Friday, March 31, 2023, at 10 am in the auditorium at the Rumuolumeni Campus.All fresh students are advised to take advantage of this window of postponement to pay their Matriculation fee of N6,000.00 and complete all registration formalities before Monday, March 13, 2023.
Students who fail to complete registration formalities and pay school fees before the closure of the portal on Saturday, March 11, 2023, will cease to be students of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education PortHarcourt.
It is essential to note that only registered students who have paid all fees will be assigned Matriculation Numbers and allowed to sign the Matriculation Register.
The cost of hiring the Matriculation Gown is N6,000.00, and all payments must be made online to the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni PortHarcourt. Matriculation Gowns must be collected from Faculty Officers starting on Wednesday, March 13, 2023.All Academic Gowns collected must be returned by Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Failure to return the gowns on time will attract a penalty of five hundred naira (#500.00) only per day.
It is important to note that only students who present evidence of payment of the gowns will be allowed to sign the Matriculation Register.
The Matriculation Ceremony marks the end of registration for the academic session. Any student who fails to register before the Matriculation Ceremony will no longer be a student of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education PortHarcourt.
Therefore, all fresh students are advised to complete all registration formalities not later than Monday, March 13, 2023.
