Our attention has been drawn to information going viral on social media that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) cancelled the 2020 UTME results of the day 1 candidates as a result of hijacked server or thereabouts.
We hereby use this medium to inform candidates and the general public that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) did not cancel any result.
The board has earlier communicated that results would be accessed by texting “result to 55019” (cost 50 naira) pending till the portal will be available for checking on the board’s website.
TEAM PLATO gathered that the link for result checker was removed to ensure candidates use the initial short code method before accessing on the board’s portal. Candidates are therefore ensured to be well guided.
