JAMB Sends Important Information For 2020 UTME Candidates

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has released a very important information for candidates who have registered for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The board said candidates are now free to print their examination slips to know the time, date and venue for the examination at any CBT centers across the country.

The Head, Media and Information of the board, Dr Fabian Benjamin, disclosed that the examination slips could be printed anywhere.

Dr Benjamin said candidates are to print their slips, locate their centers and make sure they arrive early to the examination hall as lateness to the examination center won’t be tolerated. He said the examination will hold on 14th of March, 2020.

“This is in order to avoid running around on the examination day trying to locate the centres, and as a result, getting to the centre late.

“It should be stated clearly now that lateness to the examination will not be tolerated, no matter the excuse,” he said.

This development will aid easy and smooth conduct of the examination. Candidates are advised to strictly adhere to examination rules and shun any forms of examination malpractice.

Benjamin said by next year 2021, the board’s portal would be integrated into that of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC).

He said the board will work with the ICPC to track whoever engaged in any forms of malpractice or illegal means of getting admission. He also said who so ever that plan to truncate admission process will be penalized.

He said the board will work harmoniously with institutions to compute admission of qualified candidates and ensure there is justification in the process.
