The management of Kwara State University has said the institution will reopen for the commencement of academic activities on Monday, October 12, 2020.
A statement by the acting Registrar of the institution, Mohammed Shuaib, said carryover examination for 100 and 200 level students would hold from October 12 to October 17.
He said examinations for 100 and 200 level students would hold between October 19 and 31.According to him, students in 300, 400 and 500 levels will resume on Saturday, October 31, 2020 and start their exams from November 2 to 14, 2020.
“All members of staff and students are expected to comply with the precautionary measures put in place to guide against COVID-19 pandemic”, Shuaib added.Meanwhile, the Kwara State Government has warned all tertiary institutions in the state against increment in fees under any guise.
The Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Science and Technology, Hajiya Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu, gave the warning at a stakeholders’ meeting and training on awareness and sensitisation on safe reopening of institutions in Kwara State.
