As the number of COVID-19 cases reported daily continue to decline, the Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced that students in JSS3 and SSS2 in all public schools in the state should resume physical classes for the new academic session from September 21, 2020.
Sanwo-Olu who made this announcement on his verified Tweeter handle on Saturday, encouraged private school owners to consider staggered classes and alternate school days for their students.
In the same vein the governor said, gyms and cinemas are allowed to open at 33% of their capacity while also ensuring all safety protocols are put in place for patrons.
Meanwhile, It has been earlier reported that the governor has ordered full reopening of worship centers across the state.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who made the disclosure today said, mosques can hold their prayers five times daily while churches can also commence weekly services.
Recall that worship centers in the state were restricted to one gathering weekly after they were allowed to reopen following lockdown to check coronavirus in the nation.
The Governor also said public and private schools can resume fully on Monday, September 21, 2020.
