The Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) (formerly, Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, AOCOED), has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to run 66 new undergraduate programs in the school.
The university’s Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. B.B. Lafiaji-Okuneye, disclosed this at the inaugural meeting of the senate, which was inaugurated by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council, Alhaji Sekinat Yusuf at the main campus in Oto/Ijanikin.
She revealed that 67 programs were presented for accreditation but one program; Civic Education, was not approved because the NUC could not find a Bench Mark Academic Standard for the course.
The approved programs will take effect from the 2022/23 academic session.
