46th CONVOCATION CEREMONY FOR THE AWARD OF CERTIFICATES, DIPLOMAS, PRIZES AND CONFERMENT OF FIRST AND HIGHER DEGREES
The 46th Convocation ceremony of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife is scheduled to hold from Wednesday, 7th to Saturday, 10th December, 2022, as follows:
(1) Wednesday, 7th December, 2022
Award of Diploma Certificates
Venue: Department of Local Government and Development Studies
Time: 9.00 a.m.
(2) Thursday, 8th December, 2022
(a) Conferment of Bachelor’s Degrees and Award of Prizes to Graduating Students in the Faculties of Administration, Arts, Education, Law and Social Sciences.
Venue: Oduduwa Hall
Time: 10:00 a.m.
(b) Convocation Play – Professor Femi Osofisan- Adventures in the Forest of a Thousand Daemons (A Stage Adaptation of D. O. Fagunwa’s “Ogboju Ode Ninu
Igbo Irunmole”)
Venue: Oduduwa Hall
Time: 8:00 p.m.
(3) Friday, 9th December, 2022
Conferment of Bachelor’s Degrees and Award of Prizes to Graduating Students in the Faculties of Agriculture, Environmental Design and Management, Pharmacy, Science, Technology and College of Health Sciences.

Time: 10:00 a.m.
(4) Saturday, 10th December, 2022
(a)Convocation Lecture
Guest Speaker: Dr. Akinwumi Adesina,

(b)Conferment of Postgraduate Diplomas, Masters and Masters of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees

Time: 10.00 a.m.
INFORMATION TO GRADUANDS:
Graduands wishing to participate in the 46th Convocation ceremony are required to complete an online registration form, using the following link: eportal.oauife.edu.ng A link to a short demonstration video on how to wear the convocation gown and other accoutrements will be available on the registration portal.
Graduands are required to pay the prescribed convocation fees below by clicking https://eportal.oauife.edu.ng/grad_login.php
All Diploma Graduands: N15,000.00
All First Degree Graduands: N20,000.00
Higher Degree Graduands: N25,000.00
Upon completing the online registration, graduands are to print out the following documents: (a) proof of payment of prescribed fees; and (b) two electronic invitation cards clearly indicating the names of their designated guests.
The proof of payment of prescribed fees (in duplicate) will be required to collect academic gowns and the Order of Proceedings from their respective Faculty/College Secretaries between 8.00a.m. and 4.00p.m. on the day preceding the conferment of degrees in their disciplines.
Graduands should assemble at the front of the Faculty of Science (White House) on their respective Convocation days not later than 8.00a.m. All graduands must be fully robed and seated in the places allocated to them at the Convocation venue by 9.30a.m. before the commencement of the Official Processions.
F. Graduands are required to return the academic gowns issued to them to their respective Faculty Secretaries not later than 4.00 p.m. on the convocation day. Failure to comply shall attract a fine of N10,000.00 the first day, and N2,000.00 for subsequent day(s) of default.
Only Graduands, the Official University Procession and Invited Dignitaries will be allowed into the Convocation Venue.
Parents and guardians of our Graduands who wish to attend shall be ushered into designated viewing halls. In view of the limited spaces available, entrance into the viewing hall shall be strictly on first come, first served basis.
All vehicles entering into the University Campus shall be required to pay a sum of Five hundred naira (N500.00) per day and shall be given a security tally which must be returned upon exiting the Campus. A misplaced tally will attract a fine. Parking of vehicles will be at designated sites as indiscriminate parking will attract a fine.
Graduands are advised to note and adhere strictly to the dates and time scheduled for the ceremonies.
Graduands should note that movement into, and out, of the hall during the ceremony, or before the end of the ceremony will not be allowed.
Graduands will also be required to show evidence of payment of the Convocation Fee when collecting their certificates.
We congratulate all our Graduands, their parents and guardians, and wish them safe journey to and from Ile-Ife.
