OOU Resumption Halted As Ogun Bans Schools Over Coronavirus 

The earlier scheduled March 23rd 2020 resumption date for students of Olabisi Onabanjo University has been halted in accordance with the directive of the Ogun State Government against large gatherings as a means to contain the spread of Covid -19 pandemic in the state.

A Press Statement released on Thursday and signed by Kunle Somorin, the Chief Secretary to the State Governor placed ban on high-density gatherings including schools.

“Consequently, all schools in the State will remain closed indefinitely after school hours on Friday, March, 20th, 2020.”, the statement reads.

In addition, the statement directed parents with wards in boarding facilities within the state are to evacuate them as all schools closed on Friday, March 2020.
