UNILORIN, UNIABUJA Vice Chancellors lauds KWASU VC’s Appointment. 


The Vice – Chancellors of the University of Abuja and the University of Ilorin, Professors AbdulRasheed Na’Allah and Sulyman Age Abdulkareem have thrown their weight behind the newly appointed Vice – Chancellor of Kwara State University, Professor Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi (SAN), in his effort to move the Institution to greater heights.

Professor Na’Allah who is the pioneer Vice – Chancellor of KWASU, gave the assurance when the new Vice-Chancellor, Professor Akanbi paid him a visit in his Ilorin residence.
Professor Na’Allah described the appointment of Professor Akanbi as a step in the right direction stressing his readiness to support the new helmsman through provision of necessary advice that will stimulate growth and development in the Institution.
While describing Professor Akanbi as a vibrant and seasoned academic with landmark achievements in his field of study, Na’Allah expressed confidence that the new KWASU helmsman would consolidate the good legacy he met on ground at the University.
Professor Na’Allah also described the emergence of Professor Akanbi as KWASU’s Vice-Chancellor as a good omen for the Institution considering his inspiring academic and legal prowess.
He noted that Professor Akanbi was a refined scholar, foremost lawyer, and seasoned university administrator, expressing confidence that the new Vice-Chancellor would bring his rich experience to bear in his bid to make KWASU a world class Institution.
Professor Na’Allah emphasised the need for KWASU and the University of Abuja to engage in mutually beneficial working relationship especially in the areas of fund generation, research, teaching and community service.
In his comment, the KWASU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Akanbi thanked Professor Na’Allah for laying a good foundation for KWASU and promised to do everything within his power to consolidate on that legacy in order to move the Universiity foward.
Professor Akanbi commended his predecessor’s willingness to form a synergy with KWASU and was confident that a seamless working relationship between the two universities would give birth to fruitful results.
In a similar vein,the Vice – Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor Sulyman Age Abdulkareem has congratulated Professor Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi (SAN) on his appointment as the new Vice – Chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete, describing it as well deserved.
Professor Abdulkareem in a statement signed by the Director of Corporate Affairs of the University of Ilorin, Mr. Kunle Akogun, saluted the sagacity of the former Governing Council of the University and the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, for finding Professor Akanbi worthy of appointment to the exalted Office of the Vice – Chancellor of the fast-growing University.
Meanwhile, the newly appointed Chairman of the Governing Council of Kwara State University, Malete, Professor Kpotun Mohammed Baba, has pledged to ensure a harmonious working relationship with the Vice – Chancellor of the Institution, Professor Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi(SAN) and his management team.
He made the pledge in Ilorin when the Vice – Chancellor led Principal Officers of the University on a courtesy visit.
The Council Chairman promised to use his connections and wealth of experience to move KWASU to an enviable position adding that the Council will work assiduously to ensure that the University sustains its good name and position among the commity of Universities world wide.
In his remarks, the Vice -Chancellor while congratulating Professor Baba on his appointment expressed the readiness of the University Management to work closely with the Governing Council to make the University one of choice not only in Nigeria or Africa but world over.
