UNIVERSITY OF CALABAR SET TO REOPEN SCHOOLS IN PHASES STARTING FROM OCTOBER 19TH. 2020 

The management of the University of calabar on Friday called on staffs of the institution to resume work in phrases.

Following the federal government’s directives on the reopening of schools across the country, management of the university of Calabar has decided that school should resume in the following phases;

1) Staff on CONTISS 1-5 to resume Monday 19th October, 2020
Staff on CONTISS 12 and above to resume on Tuesday 20th October, 2020.

2) Staff on CONTISS 6-11 to resume Monday 26th October, 2020
The resumption date for all academic staff shall be announced later.

The Senate of the institution are said to convene in no distant time, to, among other things, decide on the schedule resumption of full academic activities.

The memo which was signed by the Registrar Amb. Gabriel Egbe on behalf of the VC, stated that, the management is making efforts to provide necessary pharmacological and non-pharmocological facilities needed for the identification, control and prevention of Coronavirus.

“Staff are advised to take personal responsibility by adhering strictly to all Covid-19 precautionary measures by wearing face mask, observing social distancing, regular washing of hands, and the use of hand sanitizer while in place of their duty”. the statement read in part.
